I bought this saw because I mistakenly thought that the tool was made in the US. It's not. It's not even made in Taiwan. It's made in China. I hate using tools made overseas and think it is vital, as a tool user, to support my neighbors and my economy by buying american made products. I care much more that my neighbors have work than I care about whether some CEO and his gophers make their bonuses. Quite frankly, I'm saddened and disgusted. I can't speak to quality yet--my US made Milwaukee tools lasted indefinitely.
